Senior Marketing Coordinator/Marketing Manager
Chicago Loop – Full-Time/Exempt
Steady growth has created the need for a marketing professional at a mid-sized local CPA firm based in the Chicago Loop with a new smaller office in Denver. As the marketing leader, you will bring your previous experience to bear in creating a solid marketing infrastructure, increasing awareness for the firm among target audiences, and supporting and driving effective marketing strategies. This position will need to understand all of the firms service capabilities and be responsible for communicating these services to firm employees, clients, and other referral sources on a regular basis so that the firm is viewed more of a full-service accounting firm rather than a tax compliance accounting firm. This is an extremely important part of the marketing professional’s responsibility. This role will be instrumental in helping our firm get to the next level and drive and support future growth.
Reporting to the managing partner and the marketing partner, you will have broad responsibilities for marketing and business development at the firm including:
- Educating firm employees, clients, and referral sources on capabilities of the firm
- Website Responsibilities including Content Management, Traffic Tracking, Lead Dissemination, SEO, SEM
- Collateral/Brochures
- Social Media Platforms
- E-Newsletter
- Niche Marketing
- Coaching on Personal Marketing
- Periodic seminars to communicate all of the firms service capabilities to all members within the firm
- Events to communicate all of the firms service capabilities to clients and other referral sources
- Promotional Items
- Proposals/Pursuits
- Database Management
- Management of a marketing budget
Other activities related to marketing, recruiting, growth and business development may be needed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
- Three to five years of marketing experience, preferably in an accounting firm or a professional services environment
- High degree of professionalism
- Excellent communication skills and ability to hold seminars as the main speaker
- Self-starter, ability to operate autonomously
- Apply best-practices strategy as well as implement
- Demonstrate ROI on marketing investments
- The ability to sell your ideas internally and build consensus
